Our chocolates are made of the freshest ingredients, without preservatives of any kind and should be consumed within 7 days of delivery.

STORAGE

Woodhouse Chocolates are best stored at room temperature (66o to 76o Fahrenheit). If refrigeration, or freezing, is necessary, please place in an airtight container and allow the container to return to room temperature before opening.


ALLERGIES

Nuts
Woodhouse uses peanuts, cashews, walnuts, pecans, pistachios and other nuts in its confections. Even those confections that do not normally contain nuts might possibly contain traces of these nuts.

Dairy
Butter and cream may be found in every Woodhouse confection.

Egg Products
Woodhouse Chocolate does not specifically add egg products to any of our confections. Ingredients that we purchase from other producers may contain egg products.

Other Allergies
If you are allergic to any substance that can normally be found in confections, then it is probably present in Woodhouse confections. Please use caution.

WHAT STYLE IS WOODHOUSE CHOCOLATE?

Woodhouse Chocolates are made in the European style (enrobed chocolates in the French Style and molded chocolates in the Belgian style) with American innovation.

WHAT DOES % COCOA MEAN?

In chocolate production, cocoa beans are ground and separated into elements of cocoa butter and cocoa powder. These elements are then recombined with sugar (and a small amount of vanilla) to produce solid chocolate. The combined percentage of cocoa butter and cocoa powder in the final solid is reported as the % cocoa.

WHAT % COCOA DO WE USE?

From white chocolate through milk to dark chocolate, the % cocoa varies widely. The white chocolate we use contains roughly 33% cocoa, the milk chocolate roughly 38% and the dark chocolates from 58% to 64% cocoa.

The actual “meat” of the cocoa bean after it has been roasted and the hull removed.

WHAT IS GANACHE?

At its base, ganache is a mixture of chocolate and cream. To this, butter and flavorings may be added.

WHAT IS GIANDUJA

Gianduja combines finely ground nuts, chocolate and small amounts of sugar. Classically made using hazelnuts, but any can be used.

WHAT IS FIORI DE SICILIA

Literally, “flowers of Sicily” is a classic Italian extract that combines the flavors/aromas of citrus and vanilla.
